  • Acute Oncology is by necessity, a multi-disciplinary service that requires seamless working across organizational boundaries and clinical disciplines. It is an exciting and evolving speciality that brings together disciplines from oncology, emergency care (ED), acute medicine and palliative care to provide a cohesive patient service for patients presenting with oncological emergencies. It is challenging, interesting, unpredictable, and rewarding.

  • The website and society are here for all members of the wider multidisciplinary team including specialist and emergency/acute care providers, encouraging a one team approach to the care and management of cancer patients with acute problems.
